A Skiable Feast – Cross Country Style – Makes its Debut at Treetops Resort.
Treetops Resort, Michigan’s most spectacular resort is embracing winter 2013/14 with a Skiable Feast – hosted trailside three winter weekends.
The winter gourmet debut will take foodie and cross-country enthusiasts to the Treetops trail system first on Saturday, January 18th, 2014 followed by two additional winter weekend Saturdays: February 1, 2014 and February 15, 2014.
The Treetops ski staff will offer the specialty cross-country experience taking seasoned Nordic skiers and novice weekend skiers through the rolling terrain and pined forests, much of which overlooks the Pigeon Valley at their own pace on immaculately groomed trails.
The Treetops Skiable Feast features a 4km Cross Country ski trail with five unique trailside buffets. This exhilarating event begins with check in at the ski shop at 10 a.m.
The ‘taste tantalizing’ trailside stops include:
Station ONE will feature Mini-wraps and Sandwiches
Cherry Chicken Salad
Portobello Mushroom Sandwich
Chicken Caesar Wrap
Smoked Salmon Cream Cheese Wrap
A variety of bar drinks will complement the first trailside stop
Station TWO will feature “Soup 3 ways”: Gumbo
White Chicken Chili
Beer Cheese Soup
The winter soup selection will be paired with a selection of Michigan Wine & Michigan Craft Beer
Station THREE will feature a handmade selection of “Pastry Pockets”
Chicken Cordon Bleu in Puff Pastry
Beef and Mushroom Duxelle Wellington
The Pastry Pockets will be paired with selection of Michigan Wine & Michigan Craft Beer
Station FOUR will feature a winter selection of local “Fish & Mac”
Fried Perch with Tarragon Tartar Sauce
Baked THREE Cheese Alfredo “Mac and Cheese”
The fourth trailside stop will also be paired with selection of Michigan Wine & Michigan Craft Beer
Station FIVE will finish the trailside feast with Dessert:
Drunken Bourbon Glazed Apple Crisp with Cinnamon Ice Cream paired with the skier’s Choice of a winter Cocktail
The trailside Skiable Feast is $95 per person.
