    TRAIL CONDITIONS
    March 3, 2010
At 8:30 a.m. the temperature at the Corsair Trails is 21º. Spring skiing conditions prevail. The snow softens in the warm mid day sun and freezes hard at night. The best time to ski is mid morning as the snow is in transition. This is the time of the season when we point our skis into the backcountry and explore the Huron National Forest. The untracked snow becomes frozen into a crust and skiers can easy glide across the surface.
Blue skies and sunshine create memorable days skiing along the Highbanks Trail which offers beautiful overlooks along the AuSable River.

Corsair Concert Series presents THE BOXCARS
We are excited to present one of the first appearances of  the newly formed bluegrass supergroup, The Boxcars. With collective stints with Alison Krauss & Union Station and The Dan Tyminski Band, this quintet starts out with an impressive rap sheet.   Adam Steffey is a six-time recipient of the IBMA Mandolin Player of the Year award and will lay down his signature rhythm that can be traced back to his days with Union Station.  IBMA award-winning instrumentalist Ron Stewart will deliver rock solid banjo work, and will occasionally set down the banjo and pick up the fiddle on some tunes.  It's always a rarity to have multiple strong vocalists in the same group, and The Boxcars will benefit from strong vocal performances from Keith Garrett, John Bowman and Steffey's signature baritone. Don't miss this show! The Boxcars are destined to be one of the top headliners in bluegrass music.
