NEW XC SKI AREA - EAST JORDAN, MI
We have a new nordic skiing venue, a brand new nordic ski area in one of Michigan's best snow belts near East Jordan! Aspen Grove XC Center at Wagbo Peace Center, easy access:

• 3 miles south of East Jordan MI
• Right on M66 at Kidder Rd.

Wagbo is a community garden program situated on a glacial moraine overlooking the Jordan River Valley. Offering a variety of terrain from flat and rolling fields to upland deciduous hardwoods and conifers forests, there will be 15 to 20 KM variety of trails (this winter) groomed and maintained for both skating and classical skiing, including some classic only and snowshoe trails. Nordic director, Lou Awodey, spent 22 winters at Boyne Mountain's Nordican, but has moved on to start this new center.

We have about 15-20 km of nordic trails available this winter; call 231-536-9860 or 231-620-5679(cell) for information or snow conditions. Our base facilities and building are located at the junction of M66 and Kidder Rd. Trail passes, equipment rentals and repair, lessons, retail items, and refreshments are available at the XC Center base center.

SPRINGTIME IS HERE - XC SEASON HAS CLOSED!!
Springtime is on the way; we are now closed for the season. Gear and clothing on sale as well if you let us know what you are shopping for. Call (231) 620-5679 for an appointment.

Opened a new woodland trail system that will remind you of the original Nordican trail system with about 200' of elevation difference, a half mile steepish climb into our sugar bush, great views, and some eye watering descents. It will be part of a new, longer touring/training trail loop. Come out and ski for yourself our new ski area. We will have 15-20 km groomed of good, fun ski trails, groomed wide for skating and with tracks set where possible. Some classic only trails are available, too.

Parking is available off the driveway, located about 30 yards north of the Kidder Rd. intersection off M-66. A sign will mark the driveway and trails begin adjacent base camp buildings about 100 yards back off the road frontage. Looking forward to seeing you this summer or next season.
